    VR6 #5 aka The Unicorn

I swore to myself that i never would get into another mk3 but ever since a very good mate of mine got back into one the desire to get back into a VR6 started to snowball inside of me. I must say that ive always had what you could consider a good run with these cars as i know alot of others have shed alot of tears with theirs..... well to cut a long story short this is my latest VR6 which i had been searching for roughly 6 months to purchase. I had to fly up to Brisbane to pick this one up as from a fella named Stephen aka Aus79, besides some stone chips on the bonnet, a few little car park dings and a worn drivers seat the condition of this car is in very good original condition. Had 169k on the odo with new timing chain kit, new clutch kit, freezing cold aircon and a new heater core. On the trip back she didnt miss a beat and driving it back brought back many good memories doing interstate trips in what was my favourite car ever my old white vr6. Anyways atm im going over everything as i prepare it for its nsw rego so it needs to pass a blue slip, luckily for me the only thing that needs attention is the damn pcv valve which is pretty common in these cars. Plans for the future are a respray, Recaro seats, a set of H&R ultra lows, an old school sound system (something from the 90s like Alpine and Rockford Fosgate equipment), smoked ecodes, hella fogs, some cams, a full Magnaflow system and heaps and heaps of different wheels

How she looked when i bought her

Both cars i had whilst i owned my white one.... it was probably 2011ish

The Grey one was involved in a prang the running gear went into the making of a 2 door VR6 and the shell ended up with Sarah who then put her running gear in from the one she had that got written off

The Green was bought silly cheap off someone who could not afford to fix the slipping auto, it ended up with a manual conversion and i believe Smeebs old man still has it and its going well

Ive ordered a few things from overseas mainly service items in bulk but the thing im waiting on before i take it in for inspection is a fresh pcv valve.... Whilst everything was pulled off i gave the throttle body a good clean and noticed that the intake elbow had quite a bit of oil in it! Are any of you guys running a catch can? Im considering putting one in but im not sure if its best to just vent into the can and block off the port on the elbow or to have that connected?
