    New with Mk3 GL

    Hi

My 17 year old has just scored a very tidy Mk3 GL.
Couple of things we have questions on.

He wants to drop it 30mm. Best value way of doing this?

What recommended wheel size, offset and tyre size suits without any body mods?

He wants it so sound better. Recommended exhaust mods?

Is a cold air intake with doing?

The car is very tidy and original (cream interior unmarked) so we don’t want to mess with it too much. Want to be able to reverse any mods.

    Cheers

Coilovers are the cheapest way, not necessarily the best though.

Tyre size depends on how low it ends up.

Aim for a 50 profile on 15” and 45 profile on 16” as a rough guide

Have a shop cut out the centre muffler for a touch more noise. Cheap as.

Pod filter for the noise is always good.
