Anyone done a brake booster vacuum line replacement? Mines hissing at the top fitting on the manifold. I got the spare vacuum line to replace it with but don't know what i need to do.

Mk3 2.0. Mk3 VR6 CC. Future Mk2?
Undo one end. Put replacement on. Undo other end. Put replacement on.
Grimshaw St about 10 minutes ago, green VR and maroon (VR?) one nearly right behind the other.
Past - '95 VW Golf MK3 VR6
Present - '11 Ford Focus LW Diesel (PSA DW10C)
Wow double spotting, rare!

Handbrake light came on today so decided to check brake fluids but then:
And the disintegrated rubber nipple thing that was once on top:
Any clues on how to fix this?
Also noticed that on the purple thing that is sticking it, there seems to be a washer and 2 contacts on he bottom.
What is that for and what should I do to fix this ?

You just need to replace the rubber. Not sure if still available from vw.

I don't understand how the sensor works if there is a rubber cap on it so it can't float anyway?
Any idea on part code or name? Can't find the stupid thing anywhere....

Is the last thing I need to do before I can pass the car on.
