Vr6 timing chains last around 150k - 200k, you get the odd few that last longer, or ones that don't last as long.

The care u take on start up, servicing, and how u drive it, are the main determining factors.

Note this Haynes Service and Repair Manual does not cover 2.8 VR6 or four-wheel-drive models, so you will probably need to confirm that your auto transmission is a Type 096/Type 01M or a different unit.
