havent gotten any books unfortunately, although i just rang up a vw dealer and they passed me the info with the vin i gave them :)

cool, good to know you can find colour using the VIN.
Last time I used my VIN at VW they gave me the wrong parts...that was awkward.

Anyone ever bought a car from another state and driven it back, is it hard to transfer rego / get a new rwc and any other costs involved?

I drove my mk1 back from Melbourne on a UVP. Just required a NSW Blue Slip and was able to get registration. It's not very difficult.

Just noticed a random yellow connector behind the drivers side head light which has nothing plugged into it. Any idea on what this is?

Not driven back but I got my VR6 from Victoria on a truck and just got previous owner to cancel rego and take the money they get back off the price of the car then just got a roadie and rego in QLD.
