    Thank you.

Keen to get it back together and see if we can get into the 11’s without breaking anything.

Got sent the wrong hubs for the rear took a little while to rectify the issue but the rears are now mostly complete. I need to get some shorter struts (MK1/Polo/Ibiza) as the car is so light in the back the shocks aren’t compressing.

I over measured the length of the rear beam arms - the wheel base has been increased by a fair amount. I had to clearance the rear bumper some more.

Now with the rear brakes fitted I was able to finish the brake lines off. Just need to grab some p-clamps the secure the braided line to the body.

I also grabbed some 4mm plate to make a few things. Firstly a mount for the shifter and staging brake. Will get the rear section folded and welded into roughly this location.

Pushed it out on to flat ground to assess the suspension situation. Really need to make up some side skirts now.

Can see the extent of wheelbase extension now.

front wheel sitting a fair way back in the arch too or just the photo?
Whats the go with side skirts, line them up with the front bumper to keep the air flowing past. cant say I have ever thought about them being a performance factor

Combination of photo angle and the wheels were turned.

Correct, keep air from going under neath the car. Also for looks at this point!

MK3: ADZ to AMK to BWS(R36!)

Attempted to bleed brakes on the weekend. Found out that a lot of the connections leaked - I had my suspicions because of a crap flaring tool, but thought they would still be ok. I was wrong. So redid almost all of the flares.

    Before

    After

My initial tool didn’t give a good first ‘bubbling’ step, so was only a ‘single’ flare.

    Photo less updates:

I then stripped out more wiring (headlights, taillights and anything else that wasn’t critical)

Put the dash back in, and removed the front front sway bar.
Chopped out some metal in the headlight area’s.
Test fitted some of the power steering lines, still need to figure out where I will mount the reservoir.
    Fixed the crap wheel alignment.
Fitted the correct hub rings and lug nuts for the Honda rear end.
Also went through and started replacing the oem bolts with some light weight Porsche sourced alternatives

It’s still hydraulic/OEM power steering at this point, later on I will go to electric.

Power steering delete sucked in the other car. With the locked diff and radials the car steers all over the place, would be very difficult to control with no assisted steering.
