    Lightbulb Disabling the reminder beepers?

Is there an easy way to get around the reminder beeper/buzzer that sounds when you have the drivers door open, and the key in the ignition?
Couldn't find anything on it by searching.
The key in ignition one annoys the crap outta me when I'm working on the car/vacuuming it etc. and have the doors open and music playing.
Also, the one that reminds you about parkers/headlights being on when the key leaves the ignition, easy way to stop it?
I'd like a simple and reversible way to stop these reminders beepers. They're there for the stupid people, not for people with +half a brain.
    Help would be great guys.

    Jace.

The door one is a relay attached to the top of the fusebox. Rip it out and there will be no other ill effects.

It is the best think to do to a mk3, just dont put anything metal near it, my relay broke rather then pulling out, i went to prise it with a screwdriver, it shorted across the relay and killed the ignition switch.

I don't mind the warning sounds, but then I tend to have the stereo cranked so don't hear it

The other question is does this also remove the headlights on warning buzzer? That one I find handy.

Matt ripped mine out in a fit of rage when he heard it, the "la caca racha" is no more! Oh and yeah the light/indicator buzzer still works...

I have a '93 build VR6 and I haven't heard any of these novelty chimes. Do all Mk3's have them?

    MY06 and later I believe.
my 05 car only has the buzzer for oil pressure and if you leave the indicator on until you get out of the car. The rest would be obnoxious

The Mk3 door buzzer is very annoying and I offer to remove the relay to all of my customers. Most of them hate it antway...
I would think that your VR6 one has been removed beforehand Davo
