Thread: Best way to re-black golf trim, bumpers etc?

    Bang... will last at least a year. Clean it off with some wax and grease remover or something then go to town with this.

    What's that stuff like after its been applied? Does it rub off when you wash it, or worse, when you touch it? I thought about using it before he heat gun approach but nobody knew what it was like.

    Nope, doesn't rub off or wash off. Just apply a couple of coats so that there aren't any streak marks or anything and you're good to go. I've used forever black too, this stuff was a lot better

    I reckon the best way to go would be the heat gun, and then to maintain the black, rub some vinyl protectant into it every few weeks. Keeps it sealed and maintains the esters in the plastic.

    Used forever black once a week for a month. Haven't touched it for a year and a half and it's only just lost its darkness.
