Thanks guys :)
Ground to na lip is about an inch at a guess. It's close to laying frame but not quite there. So its not low enough. Yet. ;)
At the moment its all only just connected up, most of the interior is out and the boot is one huge mess of wires, air lines and unmounted compressors/tanks. I wanted to get it in and working before I made it all pretty. It's just how I work. Ill finish it all up properly on the weekend hopefully.

Put some carby/throttle body cleaner through and also a can of Subaru upper engine cleaner, which basically foams up and cleans out all the crap in the upper engine (if you've heard of "seafoam" on the american forums, I think this is pretty much as close as you can get in australia) and the things running realllly nicely :)
Also pulled the timing chains and head off the vr6, although really not sure when I'll get that finished as Im moving out really soon, and will not have a garage in brisbane :/
Still havent gotten around to making all the air components look pretty or mounting the gauges properly, did secure everything down though.
Bags have been going reallly nicely, they're a lot of fun. So comfortable. I missed the looks on peopels faces when you drive a stupidly low car, haha. Had a police scare already but that was okay, got out of that one very luckily.

$10 valve spring compressor (big mother****in clamp and an already convienentally broken socket from an old supercheap socket set I had bought, before I realised why good tools cost good money and got better ones :P)

The original drain plug was just so inefficient, so some train tracks decided to make a new one

Anyone know if 1.8 and 2.0 sumps would happen to be the same?
Cracking your sump even on bags = boss!!!!!!!!
sorry it has to be said " do u ever learn?" hahaha then again do any of us.
I drive all day everywhere much lower then I did on coilovers, I literally hit the cats eyes on the road (and im talking average sized ones, not the big ones) at the height I daily drive it at ;) I refuse to learn anything! haha. The sump never really hits anything though and this is the first time ive scraped it, it sits a bit higher then the subframe and everything, so im not sure how I hit it. Ohwell. Might just do a dodgy patch job and hope it holds until I get the engine swapped in.
Looking at photos of 2.0 sumps they look identical, and you can pick those up for under $30 in the US, is a shame I rely on this car to get me to work and such and really cant wait for one to come over...
Turns out the tow truck driver is a big mk3 person and owns a couple himself so had a good chat on the way home :P
Was this before or after the head was cleaned?
That's some seriously clean internals.
Before (: the engine barely had 100ks on it, and had an amazing service history
