Ripped the rubber surrounds off the old ones and stretched them onto these. Don't know if I was meant to but did it anyway.
So I purchased a 'refresh kit' or whatever from ECS a while back, and I've been used the stock 'spring cup' (I think it's called that). I put my stock suspension back in (now using the stock rubber mount thing again) but put in the ECS spring cup and it sits like this
Is this ok? Or will it damage the car as the stock cups have a gap there.
Thanks

That doesn't look like a mk3 part. Is it in the right way? The hat usually sits down inside the tower.
I think that's the strut limiter? and yeah, it sits the other way around.
I got it when I purchased this.

It doesn't sit the other way because the 'cup' bit is already sitting inside. If I put it the other way the strut's thread doesn't even reach. I took the rubber bits off the stock ones and stretched them on there. So it's not metal on metal anymore. As one of my stock ones is busted.
If these aren't meant for a mk3 then ill look at picking up another pair of stocks, but they came in my pack so I just assumed they where.

I'm not sure if it's meant to go there, or ontop of the actual spring?

Where abouts on the central coast are you located mate? I can swing by one day and take a look if you'd like.
I'm up at Lake Haven mate. Think I've got it though. Wrong part in the wrong place haha. Will let you know though, thanks!

If you have a look at Mickey's old VR6 it has those strut top caps. I think its ECS's smooth cap.
