Vw group parts that fit a mk2 - thread

As above can we start a sort of cross model thread for parts of other Vw dubs, audis, seats possible skoda that can fit the mk2. Just so people know incase they see something.

    as far as i know:

mk3 steering knuckles bolt straight up.
mk3 master cylinders work and are 22m.

Theres more that i cannot think of right now!

Mk3/4 rear calipers fit, MK 4's need a new brake line, but Mk3 fit and have a better handbrake than the mk2's. Mk 4s are alloy.

Audi 80 electric sunroof motor and bits (which means a BMW e30 will fit as well come to think of it)

Mk3 VR6 5 stud legs and rears fit to give a front wide track and 288mm front disk.

Mk3 adjustable wiper relay (I think no 18 or 11.. Can't remember) fits, push down for intermittent, then up again, wait how long you want between swipes, then pull down on it again, voila... Variable intermittent wipers!

SEAT Toledo front Subframe and Radiator Support and Radiator, come to that

Seat Toledo Front Seats also fit without modification. I think the backs do too.

All Golf Mk3 front hubs, disks and calipers fit and Ibiza GTI and Toledo are the same.

SEAT Cupra hubs, calipers and disks are the best 280mm in a 4 Stud Pattern

Mk1 Headlight lenses are the same size as the Mk2, but the mounting brackets are different. Good if you need a replacement lens

MK3 front subframe and power steering setup for a MK2 APPARENTLY fits.
MK3/4 rear subframe give you a wide track (or just put a spacer behind the rear flange)

ah nice to see the thread picked up!

    I found some more parts

fuel lines of Ibiza and mk3 work,

anything from a CE2 VW works on mk2 with CE2

VSS off a mk3 works with mk3 cluster

door rubbers work - you just need to trim them

Seats work - follow Golf Loons guide .

Mk3 Fuel Tank definately fits. Bolts straight in, even the filler neck is the same.

This is good because you can replace the digipants pumps with the one standard Mk3 pump, that is easier to get and cheaper.

Also a good way to swop a Carby Mk2 tank and convert to EFI

I heard somewhere on some forum that MK3 coilovers will fit a MK2.

    True or False?
