    FYI I had the Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin's (185/60/14) fitted to the Mk2 GTI stock 14" wheels;

    Tyres are great, super quiet, smooth and appear to grip well (so far).

    Happy with the tyres, seem like a great choice and a bargain at $130 each (IMHO)

    Cheers

    When I got mine last month it wouldn't idle properly when cold. It would stall a couple of times then after a minute it was OK. After a few days of driving to work (180 ks each day) it cleared up and now starts first time and idles around 1100 rpm.

    The trip computer showed average fuel consumption 9.8 litres and av speed 35 ks. Now that I've put 1400 k's on the clock doing country driving it's 6.7 litres and 87 kph. My car loves long drives!

    When I bought mine the car ran fine apart from a R/S exhaust; I had the car tuned and serviced this week, runs a little smoother, but so far (fingers crossed) no idle issues..... run's a lot better after its warmed up, but thats what you would expect from any engine

    It was a daily driver before I bought it, so that might explain it

    Cheers

    Worth a bump up.
    How are the Potenza's fairing?
    Going to replace the front tyre's on the MK2 soon (same size a you 185/60's).
    Considering Pirreli P6's.

    Thanks!

    I like the bridgestones, great tyres, when you look at the value for money they can't be beaten (IMHO). Beware the P6's I've spoken to a few folks since I was looking and the "modern" p6's are ordinary

    Thanks for the quick reply

    Read many, both good and bad review's for the P6's, they're going pretty cheap atm, around $110ea, but that could be a reflection of the tyre quality?.
    Anything is better than the the El-cheapo Indonesian tyre's currently on the car.
    Potenza's are looking like a good option.

    You should be able to Buy the potenzas for $135-$145 fitted, good value for what you get plus they look good on the care
