Hi Andrew thanks mate, yes David has sent us all his DVD's of his R in both Targa Tas and Targa Wrest Point and we have been going through them.
Even though a lot of the stages will change for this year it is still good to get an idea of how the event runs etc.
We have been very lucky in that not only did we get the Tarmac Scholarship but David from Ambulance Private has been kind enough to ask us to join his team so all the logistics, servicing and accommodation arrangements have been taken care of for us!
Thanks to everyone else for your warm wishes and support, as you can imagine Marti and I are stoked and the phone hasn't stopped ringing off the hook all arvo, hopefully we can use the momentum to help us snag another couple of sponsors for the 4 rounds of the championship.
Cheers Al
Al, congratulations to both yourself and Marti. So freaking awesome. Looking forward to seeing you ripping it up on the TV highlight packages. :D
Pretty damn sweet to have the team thing organised as well. Will mean much less stress on you guys so you can focus purely on driving and enjoying yourselves.
Good stuff.
Cheers,
Trent
Way to go mate. Good luck and give 'em hell! :)
Hey Al,
major congrats on the scholarship... does this also qualify you for schoolies this year?
Best of luck in all the stages, hopefully I can make it down to lend a hand to clean the windscreen or exhaust tips....
Thanks for the warm wishes mate,
:-D not into schoolies, I'm too old and my Nav would kill me and any potential sponsors might frown on it ;)
Feel free to come and say hi if you see us at any of the service parks, were lucky enough to have the Ambulance Private Team supporting us with a service truck and mechanical and logistics support but it's always great to catch up with all forum members at these events and then for a beer in the evening.
Cheers Al
This is SO cool! Congrats Al! It's going to be great to watch an R32 ripping it up through scenic Tasmania! :)
Thanks mate much appreciated. :)
