The car is back at his house.

Some stuff has been stolen though. Nathan has just got back from Tassie and the car broke down on a test run.

    Stolen was:

    Steering wheel
    K-jet injection
    Radiator
A blue box full of 16v parts in the boot

Someone must know something about it.

Please PM if ya know anything. We just need to get Nathan's stuff back.
That's cool. Glad he got it sorted.

We all know about this so if any of these parts pop up on ebay etc in QLD. It can't be easy to flog these bits, not many 16v's around.

For the record, i was never going never going to do anything underhand and 'steal' this car. Was just wondering how i could have gotten my hands on a bargain MK1

Just kidding, i hate how pricks just leave unregistered or broken cars sitting on the side of the road for months.. should own up to their responsibilities and get rid of it properly.
gonna call him a prick now Greg? Tell him that he is not fulfilling his responsibilities? And to all the other muppets who suggested "yeah, just go and grab it...make sure you get it at night etc etc"...hope you're proud of yourselves.

Look...a man down. Let's kick him some more.

Glad the car is on it's way to it's rightful owner.

I believe with the right sense, well my interpretation at least, this was mostly tongue in cheek.

You must remember it is over 12 months out of rego and as such is not allowed on the roads at all... It had some hallmarks of abandoned car. It should have been towed to a private alotment at least.

In all there is no actual way anyone here could 'steal' and rebirth a car that is so widely know.

Nathan, I hope you sort it out and get some rego.

Glad this has had a (mostly) happy ending. Hopefully the missing bits will turn up.

Was on the phone again spekaing to Nathan at lunch time.

    I have the full story:

Nathan parks car at friends unit (As seen and spotted by walshydub)

The car was stolen from these units and broke down at the zebra crossing. As the owner was away he had no idea it was gone. Nathan comes back 2 days ago to find his car gone.

    Then found here:

When Nathan found the car at 6pm it was complete and had a flat tyre. So he returened at around 9:30pm with a replacement wheel. When he returend the following things had been stolen:
    -Steering wheel
    -Radiator
-Kjet lines, induction pipe but left airbox (Looks like they couldn't get it un-done)
-The blue box in the back had a brand new rocker cover with 16v badge on it, some other head bits including head studs, gaskets etc.

Car was then towed to Nathan's new place.

Someone left this phone number on the windscreen: 0402338178

So if anyone knows any thing let me know...

Sheesh, damn theives. Interesting to finally hear the full story.

I hope it being posted here and AVW didn't attract theives, but I guess it helped get the car back. More people probably drive down that road than frequent these forums anyway...
