Trapster is an apparently legal way of being notified of speed cameras and other traffic POIs. Not sure how well it works but it's available on the app store for your iTouch/iPhone and on Ovi for your Nokia (free for both).

Just thought I'd spread the word.

Radar/laser detectors etc. I'ma go check it out now to see how accurate it is. It's also meant to have an audible warning when on approach of a speed camera.

Ah OK... I thought it might have been illegal to distribute locations on a list or something but it didn't make much sense to me.

I flashed an un-marked cop once cause of a parked speed camera van. He flashed his dash stobes back at me and waved! Hahaha...

Ive had it for a while, its no substitute for TomTom with cameras loaded. Make sure u have a good data plan as it is a constant download as the map updates.

I used it twice. Was quite amused when it was described on the news this week as a "New iPhone App" ive had it since at least May last year.

500mb per month enough you think?

I love how the local media made a big fuss about it yesterday. Must've been a slow news day. I was delighted to find it was available for Android. Depending on the length of your trip/s I think 500mb should be enough usage (also dependant on what else you DL). I think up here in Brisbane it needs a little bit more of a network built. There are plenty of local spots around my area that hadn't been marked as spots where the revenue raisers hide out/setup.
Either way it's a nice little app and being free all is good.

hahah i flashed my high beams at unmarked cop car afew years back cos he had his high beams on in the car park blinding everyone. he turned em down to normal then drove past with his window down, he didnt look amused
