In an Australian first, VicRoads’ Custom Plates is excited to announce the launch of a new number plate range featuring DC Comics Superheroes.
Manager of VicRoads’ Custom Plates, Alan Morecroft, said from 30 November, customers will be able 'hero-up' their plate with a choice of six different superhero designs.
“The new plates will be available in six exciting superhero designs, including Superman, Batman, Supergirl, Green Lantern, The Flash and Wonder Woman,” said Mr Morecroft.
“We know that people love customising their cars to express their various passions and interests.
“Designed in conjunction with Warner Bros., these plates are a unique way for DC Comic fans to demonstrate their devotion to these popular superhero characters,” he said.
“The superhero plates are great value and start at just $195 for customers to upgrade a current general issue plate with the design, or $395 to choose their own 3x3 combination as well.
"We’ve had a lot of early interest, particularly in Superman plates, but clearly there are a lot of fans out there for all these heroes,” Mr Morecroft said.
Warner Bros. Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, Preston Kevin Lewis said recent superhero film releases from Warner Bros. have created a new generation of interest for these classic characters.
"We’re very excited about the collaboration with VicRoads’ Custom Plates and look forward to seeing superhero plates on the road throughout Victoria,” Mr Lewis said.
The plates will be available to order online at the Custom Plates website vplates.com.au from 30 November – just in time for Christmas.
All revenue raised from the sale of Custom Plates helps to fund road safety and improvement projects across Victoria.
