yeah it's a manual 2L 16v  looks alright at this height. The golf will be getting semi slammed because I won't have to drive it as much as I do now I have the passat.

A friend of mine bought one of these new. Very nice car but had trouble with pinging on our crap fuel at the time before 98 was available.

Nice Buy. In the right place at the right time. I`m Glad its not getting wrecked for spares.

I`m looking for one for the Mrs if you want to sell, or if anyone else has one.

There was one in Melbourne for sale advertised as a Caravelle. Must have been a private import as it was a 1.6. It was on Carsales or similar.

    Private imports..............anything goes (no ADRs)

Think I'll hang onto it for the time being, it's pretty sluggish though. Suspension and ride is fantastic, much better than my Gti Golf at the moment. Just lacks in the forward propulsion department.
Since no one wants the ABF I have, I might consider putting that in for a bit of extra go. Does anyone know if I'd have any engine height issues if I put the ABF in? I don't see why these cars should ping as they have knock sensing ignition I believe.
But first things first I need to get it roadworthy and registered. Does anyone know where I can get cheap good quality CV joints from? and probably should do the front wheel bearings just to be safe.
