Enjoy the Bora, they are great cars.
THEY are exceptionally popular in South Africa, and America, where I lived previously.
I over the years have owned 3 of them, all bought new.
I now live in Melbourne, and have a new Jetta.
    LOVE IT.

I would keep it stock, they look classiest as they came from the factory.
    What did you have previously.
    Did you buy privately.
The Bora is a classic shape, and they are still made in volume in China, for the huge Chineese market, as well as in Mexico,as it is sold in Central and South AMerica,as well as in Mexico and Canada under the new Jetta.
It is called the City Jetta in Canada.
Visit www.volkswagen.com and look at their worldwide sites.
It makes interesting reading,if you have the time.

    Welcome to the 'family'.

I never actually took a V5 for a spin, but a guy at work had one as a company car and raved about it, he actually regret having to roll it over to a Honda Accord Euro.

I have admired the Bora since it was launched here in Aust but at $60k the V6 4motion was well out of my reach, until I recently found a well priced 2003 with low kms in fantastic condition.

    All the best,
    Dave

i've heard that putting a turbo in the bora can be a challange, so i might not go down that path
