Inconsistent info from dealer who repaired - first told it would take a few days, then a week, then told again that it would be ready that day (after 3 days). Unable to get replacement car from either dealer (booked out) or VW (not more than 100km from home). Dealer didn't replace engine cover clips, which were found missing on next service done about 6 weeks later (still need to work that out, however the dealer which fixed it isn't exactly convenient to get to). Still consider it ridiculous that engine doesn't at least have a limp-home mode.

Two injectors were diagnosed as faulty. All 4 were replaced along with the wiring harness.

Hire car provided FOC for the entire period, VW excellent in service and communication.
Also had the computer changed out as well as it was cooked. Only took that long to fix as parts where in VIC and
airspace was shut down, Will be looking into getting extended warranty. Was told that the wire loom was the problem
and this has been fixed with the install of the new one, and should not happen again
