I have a 2010.5 R36 with an RCD510. I found the setting in the tone settings menu - press the musical note button (top RH corner of the RCD510), then touch 'Volume'. On mine, the third option down in that menu is the 'park distance control volume attenuation' setting - you can choose between three levels, or 'off'.Quote:

Thanks mate. I will have a look next time I'm in the car but from memory, I am certain that mine hasn't got it. I am wondering whether I have to do some vcds coding for the actual unit itself as I bought the RCD510 from a wrecker and from what I was told, it came out of a GTI golf so I am wondering whether it thinks it is still in a golf without parking sensors and therefore doesn't provide that option. I am certain that there was something somewhere in vcds that you could tell the unit what sort of car it is in but I am stuffed if I can find it!! I might have to find someone with vcds who is willing to sit down with me and have a play one day as I know that the last time I had a scan there was a couple of things that were an anomaly and it seemed like there was some sort of coding issue even though the unit still seems to work fine!!
