Does anyone know what 6 chimes means? B5 V6

The passat is driving me crazy, every time you get in and turn the key it chimes 6 times! I have tried searching the forum to no avail. Can someone tell me what the issue is please?

It's not the seatbelt reminder is it? Just as an experiment, try putting your seatbelt on before turning the key and see if that stops the beeping?

Thanks mate yep that was it. I always put my seatbelt on after i turn the key, guess i'll do it beforehand in future.

Its a european things... From memory there was a way to turn it off via vag5052.

I had a similar problem with my car one day, but I had my seatbelt on ... then I realised it thought the school bags sitting on the front passenger seat were a person and was complaining that the front passenger seatbelt wasn't on
