MY07 starts from August
Your VIN should be something like this WVWZZZ3CZ7E001986
Note where the 7 is that indicates model year
Welcome to the forum BTW.
I bought my B6 Passat V6 4-Motion which was advertised by a Toyota dealer as being 2007 MY07.
But from what I remember, the year of the build was 10/2006.
Also, when bought, in the contract, they put down 2006 Passat.
I would like to know what the difference between MY06 an MY07 Passats?
Were there any cosmetical (exterior / interior) and/or feature differences?

Sellers often like to "guild the lily" and quote the latest possible "date" if they think it will help sell a car. There are four different "dates" that apply to cars -
MY (model year), in VW's this seems to start around July for the following year.
Build Date - when a car was physically assembled. This is the date used by most valuers, as it gives you the actual age of a particular car.
Compliance date - when the car had its compliance plate affixed. This may be quite some time after the build date for an imported car that has sat in storage for a long time before going through customs/ADR process (Patricks for VAG cars).
Date first registered - can be 12 months or more after the build date.
2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).
Thanks for the clarification. I guess mine is MY07 then at least. =)
