Talk to GLS Rallysport about what disks but I'd guess either ATE or DBA. RDA quality has gone downwards in recent years I've heard.
Have a look in the VCDS section to see if somebody down your way has a cable.
Also, there's a really good VW specialist in Kiama (CVWC - Canberra VW Centre). I realise that is 50km away but it's worth knowing.
