Anyone using 19inch wheels on their passat?

Wondering if anyone running 19" wheels on their Passat with 35series?

I think I will be changing my tyres this week and considering getting those RS4 7 spoke replica wheels. Other alternative is the BBS CH reps. I think the OR RS4 wheels comes in 19inch only (tyres will be 35series) but was told that may be too firm of a ride. The tyre shops recommended 18inch with 40 series instead.

They recommend Falken ZE 912. See link http://www.falkentyres.com.au/tyres/...ger-ZE912.html. Apparently they are pretty soft and quiet.

Alternatives are Michelin Precedas or Dunlop Max 3000A

I have not change the springs yet and will do so after I change the tyres first.

    Any experiences to share?

The real stuff cost me one of my kids.

I heard some of the reps are pretty good. Saw some reps manufactured by PDW. The factory website and OBM stuff looks pretty decent. http://pdwgroup.com/home.html

Yeah I know they cost a bomb... I talked myself into saving the coin for some BBS's thought. Wait longer but get the real deal.

I would reccomend looking at www.carbonblack.com.au for australian sourced tyres and www.tirerack.com for US sourced tyres.

You can search for the specific size and compare all tyres that can be purchased.

I would go with either real BBS wheels or some other brands (i.e. MIRO, VMR, HARTMAN etc).

tirerack is another good option i will be getting tyres from them when I need them. You can input the model and they will give you options plus they have specials on including BBS.

Another option may be here at a reasonable cost with the AUD, pity no pic yet.

For 19 x 8 wheel for Passat correct offset is from ET41-44 and stud pattern is 5x112.

pic here - these look sexy!!! - they are also an option on the CC in Europe at least you know it is a factory product and the right size!!!

Thanks Gead, the rims looks nice. Some look like Audi and BBS reps. Just noticed that VMR is in the USA.
Anyone experienced shipping in from the US? What are the shipping costs like?

I just got a quote for a set of VMR wheels in 19 x 9.5
    Shipping to Brisbane is US$410
Pretty decent with the current exchange rate.
