Has this been fixed on the Golf 8?

GOLF waterpump leaks problem for YEARS ---why not solved
This would have cost VW millions if under w'tee and more by way of reputation.
Can any VW whistle-blowers insiders answer ?

If I knew of this problem I would ask for a signed explanation and evidence that it have been fixed before taking delivery.

Mk8 is still too new for waterpump issues to be discussed on here as any premature failures would be covered under warranty - but id bet my left nut that they are still made of plastic and will only last about 50-60,000km (at best) before they start to leak.
