    Gearbox

    Hello from Brazil guys,

I am looking for some information about the current Golf gearbox. Does anyone knows of it still offer the DQ200 DSG7?

    I don't know about brazil

But in Australia all the normal golfs have the dq200 dry clutch 7 speed i imagine it would be a near universal fit for the 1.0, 1.4, 1.5 petrol motors around the world

The higher output 2.0 ltr petrol and diesel motors have the 7 speed wet clutch dq381

    Nice to know that.

We had DQ200 for golf from 2013 to 2015. Since then VW only offers The tiptronic Aisin here.

Even the higher torque GTI still uses the DQ250.

I am looking for a old Golf to buy with DQ200 and I though that VW have retired that gearbox, but now that I know that is just a matter is reducing costs I feel more comfortable to risk on it.

We had a lot of issues here with DQ200, even that our cars already had mineral oil. VW still repair our mechatronics for the cost of labor hour.
