Unknown aluminum aftermarket bits - Polo 1.8 Turbo?

I have no idea what these are, but they came from a job lot of 1.8 Turbo Polo parts. Free to good home if you cover postage.

    Hi Julian!

Bit stumped on what it's for, even asked around and nobody really knows. Happy to pick it up as I feel like it's a tool for something useful. If I can't use it or figure it out, I'd pass it free for the next fellow to do this.
    I've PM'd you my details

    Cheers

was thinking some kind of part to solid mount a bar or steering rack but nothing on the polo really matches it. Looks like its dowelled and through bolted and the angled bigger hole is so you can get a socket extension through it to reach something behind it? Only one bolt to hold it though?? If you ever find out I'd like to know what it does.
