    Twin Weber DCOE 40 + extras

    Hi everyone.

    I selling my beloved twin Webers. Will most likely regret this later one day but they are are just sitting in my shed and I cant see myself using them any time in the near future. When I bought them I ran them on my 1.6 Passat with the original Nova spec jets in them and it ran great!

    Details: Quality, Italian made Weber carburettors from the glorious 80's. They are 40mm and ARE a matching pair. DCOE 40 143/144. I have done a little research and have found that these were factory on the rare Nova Sport sold in the UK. I bought these from the UK 4 years ago.

    * 1.5 years or 500km of use ago they were stripped and dipped cleaned. The shafts move freely, no binding. All passages and stages work well.

    I will included:

    * 3 sets of venturies (all Genuine Weber) 4 x 28mm, 4 x 34mm and 4 x 36mm.
    * Various sets of jets (all Genuine Weber) including bleed, mains, pump, idle, needle & seat etc. All jets are in a set of 4.
    * A synchrometer tool. German made. Great tool to get these babies in sync.

    All jets and venturies were bought from the guys at Weber Performance Carburettors in Melbourne. They are a pleasure to deal with.

    This is a great little kit to get you started and have it running reasonably well with a few jets to chose and play with. I would recommend getting a new service kit (gaskets) for them both as it has sat around in dry storage for about a year.

    $650 for the complete lot. Happy for offers and answer any questions

    Cheers for looking guys

    Eric

    OMG that is pure car porn. Takes me back to my Escort RS2000. I could just about buy those and build a car around them!

    Haha thanks mate. There is nothing like the sound of twin carbs at high rpm to get the blood pumping. Its intoxicating. I wouldnt mind if these dont sell to be honest haha.

    Also the Wynns rep at work keeps on on bugging me with low ball offers on these for his sons Stanza rally car. I feel they deserve better than this so his offers are always declined haha

    Takes me back quite a bit further than that. Mid '60's, back in Glasgow, my Mk1 Lotus Cortina. Nothing quite like that sound howling through the old Clyde Tunnel late at night. Ran them on my Escort TC as well.
