    Mk1 Golf complete 5 speed conversion

    Hi guys,

    Selling a complete Mk1 Golf 5 speed conversion. Whats included:

    020 5 speed gearbox
    Brand New Sachs Clutch (still in box)
    Brand New 90mm Empi driveshafts (still in box)
    5 speed linkage bush kit (still in box)
    Flyweel
    Clutch cable
    Speedo Cable
    Gearbox mount
    reverse light switch

    This is a complete conversion. no need to chase extra parts. Only reason for sale is i am going TDI and 6 speed for my mk1

    Can help with freight if required.

    would fit all 4cyl engines from the mk1-mk3 golf era (someone please correct me if im wrong)

    When are you doing the TDI swap? I've been thinking of doing the same so it would be good to see how you do it.

    next 12 months. i got the mk5 2.0 tdi donor car - its registered until Nov so i'll use it until then. mk1 needs the rusty floor fixed and i might give it a quick coat of paint as the original paint is wearing thin.

    Plan on using epytec mounts, getting custom driveshafts made. still deciding on what ecu option ill go for.

    Make sure you post your progress in the MK1 section. I'll keep an eye out for it.

    Peter Shelley (Canberra VW Centre but based in Newcastle) says this is the best diesel engine for the MK1 and the guys in England are getting 300 hp with 5 litres/100 k.
