What's the normal running coolant temp for a 162kw Tiguan?

Oil temp never gets above 90 degrees - which I think is expected

But after a low coolant warning (and topping up, with the correct coolant) I'm now monitoring the coolant temp. It gets as high as 108. Unsure if I've ever seen it go that high before

LOL! Yes I DID get it the wrong way around!

So water never got above 90 even when I had low coolant -- derp!

    thanks Hillbilly

    Haha

Oil at 108 is fine. The temperature gauge (water temp) is only approximate anyway. What it says is 90, can be 85-100).
I forget the math term, but this gauge (in many cars with electronic instruments- not meaning digital) is ‘weighted’ or ‘restricted’ to Stay in the normal zone- to alleviate temperature anxiety, within a safe temp window- as opposed to a 100% representation of true temperature (and the needle fluctuations that would bring)

Probably like my Landcruiser Would sit at 90 all day and would never move unless the water fell out and then would redline when it was too late and bearings would start to rattle about the same time LOL
