really goes to show how much of a profit margin they take, to be able to shave off almost $1k over 5 years.

money aside, i personally prefer taking my car to the same independent who does all my bolt-ons and misc. mods, rather than a mixture of dealer and independent. i also just don't like the idea of a different apprentice working on my car each year.

depends how much you value the free coffee from the dealership too...

Unfortunately I don't know any good independent VW specialists in Melb that do the annual service
(hence why I am looking at the 5 Year Care Plan)

Does it void the warranty if the annual service is not done at an authorized VW dealership ?

i take my tig to peerless automotive down in lynbrook - just off the south gippy. highly recommend.
otherwise if that's not near you, etuners motorsport in dandenong, or volkstech over in heidelberg, both offer servicing.

nope, it won't void your warranty provided the work carried out is in line with manufacturer guidelines (the above shops all do)
any warranty work would of course need to be done at the dealership you purchased from.

What do they charge you for the annual service for the Tiguan (Year 1 Service Cost) ?

you'll have to ask them yourself, but it's less than a dealership.

E-Tuners in Dandy just did my first service which is just basically an inspection and Oil/Filter change. They charged me around the $300 mark.

Before buying a Tiguan I almost very nearly bought a Volvo XC40. The Volvo dealer had offered me 5 years free service through a corporate plan - because I work in one of the top 1000 companies in Australia. It's a pity that VW don't offer the same, but in the end the benefits of the Tiguan still won me over....

The VW dealer wouldn't budge an inch on offering me an upfront discount on the 5 year care plan during my negotiations, so I guess I'm forking out $2.3k next year...
