Hmm, $70k-80k for a performance Tiguan is a bit too much for me! I might stick with the R line version as it’s cheaper and performance is pretty good.

$70,000ish for a performance SUV is quite viable and people would buy it. People that need the SUV space/versatility but can't afford/justiify SQ5 pricing.

At that price I might as well buy an Audi

A4 Allroad is like Passat Alltrack.

    Tiguan is more like Q5.

I will be in the market for a new performance SUV next year. Currently has a Macan S or a SQ5 as my options (both 3.0T), although a Q3 RS will get a look and I may consider a Tiguan R or RS.

It will depend on the specs of the Tiguan to get a look in though. If it gets too close to a base Macan (2.0T) in price then I know which 1 I will go for.

Macan S is what I want really TBH although I need to see the new facelift 2019 model in the flesh before making a decision.

That car would not have the performance of a Tiguan with the R engine.

Which one would gave you the SUV space and performance?

I can get an A4 wagon for the same price as a Golf R wagon, but Golf R's still sell.

Looks like there may be a T-Roc R perhaps even before the Tiguan R....

Looks not bad. However I wonder how much a Tiguan R would cost? Low-mid $70k?

Looks like I won’t be getting a Tiguan R anymore as I’ve just ordered a Tiguan Wolfsburg instead Tiguan R edition?Tiguan R edition?
