+1 to Melbourne_Tiggy's comnments want to know how easy/hard and whether additional hangars were required. Also interested to find out where they connected into stock exhaust and how easy/hard it would be to put the old system back on.

It looks the goods. Any chance of a close-up of the tips and exhaust cut-out to see how much clearance you have (and whether you had to trim the cutout to make it fit).

I'm considering going down this path if it's a reasonably easy thing to reverse.

And of course sound clips once the valves are open!!

I've tried to include as many images that show everything to hopefully answer anyone's questions. Clearance is really good, only notifications to the stock Mk7R muffler is the flanged connection and extension of the tips. Stock hanger positions on car and muffler. With the rear wiring, you can see that I've just clipped it higher. Unfortunately the stock clip position for the wiring is on the Exhuast Trim bracket.

I will post little video on the Australian Tiguan page of how it sounds.

Thanks for posting all these pics, it’s really helpful. So it sounds like a very doable job to swap out the stock muffler with the mark 7 golf r muffler and extend out the tips through the fake exhaust. I’m assuming you mated the golf r exhaust to the stock resonator and down pipe or did you do a resonator delete at the same time? I have an APR down pipe which has a reducer pipe and clamp on the end so I may not need a flange made....

Have you found any negatives with doing the swap? Is there any drone in D ? Are there more pronounced DSG farts ? Any exhaust rattles ?

Here’s a few more photos or mine. I still have some low speed drone (around 1500 rpm) in D, though not quite as much as before.

    Fixed the photos for you

So looks like you fitted a smaller rear muffler with a hot-dog in the centre.

Exhausts are a tricky thing to get "right" and sometimes take a couple of shots when you're going with a custom set-up.

Thanks Damien, yes I fitted a Vibrant 17930 to try to cure the drone, unfortunately it wasn’t completely successful.

just install a centre muffler, that will cut the drone straight away - since you have a smaller rear muffler you'll still get some "noise"
