Tiguan 162 Wolfsburg vibration on acceleration

Hi,
I have 162 Wolfsburg and it has now clicked over 4200kms. The car is smooth and refined driven like an old woman. However on slightly harder acceleration, there's this vibration felt through the steering wheel as though you've rolled over tiny rumble strips. Felt this since I was able to accelerate harder after running in.
Anyone noticed similar? Thought I'd ask here before I take it in.

Nope but i have one at 105kph maybe will get fronts balanced

I’ve noticed the same. I was wondering if it was from tweaking the Haldex and XDS settings with obdeleven.

I thought it may be something to do with Haldex, but I have not tweak or touched anything. Besides the vibration the car accelerated as it should.

Potentially something unbalanced in the driveshafts? Feelings in the steering wheel are usually from the front end suspension components. The fact it’s only when applying some decent torque, means it’s not likely the wheels/tyres.

Book it in to vw and explain to them under what conditions it happens (speed, revs, percentage of throttle) otherwise they’ll say ‘couldnt eplicate problem, please keep monitoring’

Could be the haldex diverting some to the rear. Even without tweaks it will engage the rears under acceleration

That shouldn’t show up in the steering wheel, though- as OP described.

For me, in a few current-gen tigs, the haldex is more often heard/felt in the seat(basically my butt) or a bit through my feet.

It is quite possible that it is felt through the seat as well. If it is a normal thing, then everyone here would have reported the same. Anyway, car booked in next Wed. Will let you know. Thank you all.

Hey there, I have exactly the same issue but have noticed the vibration seems not to be there when accelerating hard around corners. this leads me to think it only happens when accelerating reasonably hard in a straight line. did you get any response from the dealer ? im taking my Tig to solitaire in adelaide . a mate of mine is the service manager for audi and will see that i get the right person for a road test.
