    Service Cost

Just had my 3 year service at the VW dealership and was a bit surprised at the cost of $684 but even more shocked at the cost of the following 4 year service being $1127.
Is there any where in Adelaide, preferably southern area that members can recommend that maybe a bit more reasonable?

While deciding on a Kodiaq or Tiguan i found that the fixed price servicing costs were very different between the 2... I found it odd considering both would require the same things at the same intervals

Yep, sounds about right. It's just a badge tax, the service pricing between all the different brands (Skoda, Seat, VW, Audi) will be different even though the platform is the same across each brands equivalent models.

What makes it seem even harder to swallow is my tig is very low kms, will be lucky to have done 15,000kms by the time the 60,000 service will be due. Up to this point I have be servicing by due time even though my kms are way under but at that costing it's a little hard to accept.

Been doing that for 10 years with my cars Polo is 10 this month done 30,000km. Passat had only done 43,000km when I sold it in 2017

I've just purchased myself a VW and reading this has made me consider buying a care plan.

Would anyone recommend against a care plan?

    Any pros/cons?

    Thanks

If you are going to keep it for the 5 years you will save some money.

What did you buy I dont qualify because I provide my own oil and save that way and get a discount as I have had two cars for 10 years
