    Recall for roof spoiler

I just spotted this in my news feed.

Volkswagen Tiguan recalled over fears roof spoilers could detach | 7NEWS.com.au

I checked my VIN on the VW Australia site and nothing came up.

I just saw that story too.
Wasn't sure if it is just the SWB or Allspace as well so I checked my VIN - not an easy process to find the right place.

I'm affected by the spoiler and appears I am also affected by
Service Campaign/Recall Description S-Tow bar - nose weight - Australian market
Wonder what that is for on the tow bar...?
The tow bar is stamped as 100kg ball weight, but my Manual had an additional document saying TBW is 200kg.
Of course when I emailed VW, they never replied with an answer.
Since then (2018 model), they now have that annoying variable tow ball weight depending on how many people you have in the car.

This is the 4th service campaign/recall on this car...
If any consolation, I assume it affects SWB (German built) car too?

SWB MY18.5 here - I fall between the range for the spoiler recall, but my VIN says I’m peachy. Maybe it’s an allspace issue?

My car has it. Here is the screen shot from VW VIN checker. I searched the code and found the following description of the issue on another website.
    Recall for roof spoiler-annotation-2020-06-03-115516-jpg

'At Volkswagen, the Tiguan and its little brother T-Roc are on the list – here also with information from the corporate headquarters. With almost 34,000 Tiguan vehicles with R-Line equipment worldwide, the roof edge spoiler could detach from the vehicle. “The reason for this is an improperly set or missing liquid adhesive between the spoiler and body,” said a company spokesman when asked. The German VW contract partner check a little over 11,000 vehicles from the years of construction 2015 to 2019 and renew the gluing of the spoiler if necessary. The recall code is “66L5”.'

    Dodgy fix for this one.
I thought maybe they would take off the rear R-Line extended spoiler and reattach it with better bonding materials...
The fix is two screws through the R-Line spoiler into the normal Tiguan rear spoiler, and then screw caps to cover the screw heads...

    Less than $1 to fix
