If you look in the Stickies I have posted the manuals for the Tiguans so it may help you with dismantling the thing

Thanks Hillbilly, I was able to get the manual :)
Anyways it seems like the bootlid rubber seal is the main source to the leak  There is a gap on the top right had corner where the seal bends. It doesn't seat properly and looks like water leaks and goes into the gap inbetween the body panel.
Water was basically collecting at the bottom where the 'cabin pressure relief flaps / values'. So whenever I became mobile it would spill into the wheel well without wetting the carpet. To prove this was the issue, I poured water where the seal was failing and could clearly see it collecting at the bottom :(
I applied some clear silicon sealant to the exact spot and did the same test and guess what bingo leak stopped.
So I have to get the dealership to change the seal as the car came with the leak. If they don't then will change the seal myself.
Request they inspect an/or replace any items that aren’t waterproof on the inside. Wouldn’t want corrosion, electrical faults, mould in the carpets/insulation materials.
Glad to see you got to the bottom of it!
I am worried what damage it has caused in between the panels :( Hopefully the galvanized metal is keeping intact :(
Also quite surprised module 7N0 941 329 (Ad Blue) has not failed as it sits at the exact spot where water was getting collected.
Luckily water never touched any of the boot carpet....only a small part on the side.
Wow good to hear you found the source of the leak. Hopefully they come to the party and replace the seal.
