    Mk2 Tiguan Tuning

I'm not affiliated with APR (except that my MK1 Tig has the APR Tune, Intake and Intercooler)

But APR has released their tune for the MK2 Tig - check it out!

Interesting. It looks like they just reference back to the standard EA888 Gen 3 Engine page and that the "standard" AWD downpipe will work also.

I guess time will tell once someone installs it locally whether the hardware actually fits. Just so people are aware US still runs the gen 1 Tiguan and won't be getting the gen2 until the release of the Tiguan XL (US will only get the larger 7 seater).

It must be that someone has test-fit the hardware and tuned their Tig already for them to claim compatibility..

That's some decent increase for a pure ecu upgrade. Do you know if it is detectable during service or is there an option / switch ?

I think these days you have to work on the assumtion that any ECU tune is detectable if you take it to the dealer.

Moral of the story is to service with independent workshops and if you do need to take your car in for warranty work you remove the tune before it goes in so that your car doesn't get flagged.

Speak to your tuner about how they handle any potential warranty work.

Yeah, I had some thoughts about the DP.
Coming from my bias dealing with the 42DD non-AWD DP for my Mk1 Tig.
But if they're claiming it, someone must have tested it.
    Perhaps APR Australia can confirm?

So can Jb1 unplug when you take it for Service? So you don't void your warranty.
