I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Hi,

Does anyone have any further information of the Tiguan R release date or pricing?

This is now becoming a joke! i have placed my deposit since September.

I'll call the dealer tomorrow and find out if theyve heard anything, but not keeping my hopes up

I thought they weren't due until early next year, Feb/Mar?

That's right. We were advised pricing would have been released by now, along with the opportunity to place orders to meet that Feb march date

They told me last weekend that if I ordered a new Tiguan today. I "MIGHT" see it next July 2022. I would think that any "R" would be the same.

This has been my thinking all along. That if there are delays to the regular tiguan surely it would impact the R.

I spoke to the dealer today and he was adamant the R launch is being prioritised for the Feb launch. When I questioned him about the lack of spec sheets he said they've emailed vw Australia multiple times with no response regarding pricing. That said he's seemingly confident they'll get their demo car in Feb.

There will be a delay for sure. It's hard to say how long though.

I have another update. The DP just called me. He said their car has been delayed to March, but there are 180 Rs scheduled to come into Australia in the first quarter.

He also said Australian dealers are expecting an announcement on the 8th Dec. He doesn't know what is being announced but it's about the R launch
