Fuel Mixing - Drain or Dilute

Hey Guys, accidentally put 16L of E10 (94) in my 2019 Tiguan. When I realised I had only driven 5k and then I topped up the rest of the Tank with BP Ultimate Premium 98 in an effort to dilute the E10. Should I just keep adding Premium 98 for the next few weeks to further dilute or do I need to drain the Tank to make sure there are no traces of E10? Thanks alot.

Drive it and don’t worry about it.

Just don't put it under full load conditions (WOT uphill on a 40deg C day) until you've run the tank down and refilled with 98.

Just drive around "normally" until it's used up and refill.

You'd be lucky to have dropped the octane to 97 so you likely won't notice the difference. If you are tuned it's going to be more of an issue than if you are stock.

I think you can still run on 95 in an emergency on the 162TSI so it's probably not even going to be an issue.

VW say 'minimum' 95RON. I agree with Tigger73, you should be OK if you topped off with 40 odd litres of 98.
