    Centre Console USB Cubby lighting

I find the I struggle a bit plugging my USB cable into the USB slots in the centre console infant of the gear lever.
No problems in daylight, but at night or in carparks, it so dark down there that you can't see the USB ports.
I tend to end up feeling with my fingers until I think I have it lined up, and then plug in my USB cable.

I am worried that I'll end up scratching around the USB trying to find the hole...insert inappropriate joke

Just wondering if other have this issue, and whether anyone has a solution to get a bit of light down there?

Glue a little bit of hair around it?

I leave a wiggle cord plugged in and just pull that out and plug into phone

Also bought this which plugs into ciggy socket and gives two more USB with backlighting

I purchased LED USB lights. I’ve got one in each set of USB ports - it means you can only use one port, but for me it does the trick.

Yep, leave a cable plugged-in. No reason to unplug it...
    Cheers

I use the cubby to store items already so having a cord in there all the time gets messy and in the way.
I too have a backlit piggy lighter USB adapter, but the light is more outward acing so not very bright in the cubby

    Something like this?
Sounds like a better idea than what I'm using ATM

Yep. I ended up putting a somewhat opaque plastic book cover (can’t remember what it’s called. Think vinyl wrapping but for books) over the light itself to diffuse it, as I found it too bright. Works a treat

Maybe a bit of black spray paint quickly wiped off to give it a smoky fuller light intensity
