Either way your getting a lot of car and power for that price in comparison to whats out there now.
82K + 33% = $106K or have I got it wrong? I have never looked at LCT before but I think that is the way it works.

    Yes, you got it wrong.
    $82K includes about $3K LCT.
Anything above $69152 (in the case of the Tiguan R) then attracts an addition 33% LCT to the price.
The drive away pricing includes the LCT, just as it includes other taxes (GST), stamp duty and rego.
So without LCT that $82K vehicle would only be $79K.

If you are into formulas try this -
To work out the amount of LCT:

    (LCT value − LCT threshold) × 10 ÷ 11 × 33%

    ($79,000 − $69,152) × 10 ÷ 11 × 33%

    $9848 × 10 ÷ 11 × 33%

    = $2954.

I presumed your quoted number was the dealer price not including LCT because you did not specify it wasn't. So all the prices above include LCT? because there is no mention of that.

Does it really matter at the end of the day? Drive away price is just that! You bring in $80,000 in unmarked bills and they give you the keys to 1x Tiguan R 2022 Tiguan R

Looks like we've dodged the bullet on those awful seats...

Unlike the Golf R with its bucket-style seats, the more family-focused Tiguan R will feature Sports Comfort seats trimmed in nappa leather (and with heating) up front. They’re powered, and have memory on the driver’s side.

I like these & have nothing against them perfect fitment for the Tiguan R.

Personal opinion who pays alot of attention to detail, i would of preferred the Golf R 8 seats in the Tiguan instead for that extra appeal.

I preferred leather from the beginning as the car is going to be used for work hence easier to clean. The only thing a lot of us might need to consider is remote start for those hot summer days
