    2018 Tiguan Allspace Recalled

My Allspace is due for delivery next week some time.
Wonder if they'll delay to fix or get it done at first service...

The seven-seat Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace has been recalled, over concerns about the passenger airbag.According to the company, certain examples could contain a defective airbag on the passenger side. The airbag may have been packed incorrectly, meaning it doesn't deploy in an accident.

Passengers are placed at greater risk of injury if the airbag doesn't deploy in an accident where it otherwise should.
A total of 216 vehicles are included in the recall – a VIN list is attached here.

Volkswagen Australia will contact affected owners and advise them to contact their nearest dealer for a free fix. Although it's an airbag-related recall, this isn't related to the ongoing Takata scandal.

Flipping tired of the issues. Really hope everything stays glitch free.
Thank god i am leasing mine. If i have any issues in my lease period i am going to give the car back.
The continous issues (all though its not across the board) are annoying to constantly see in the media

I checked with salesperson, she said checking and fixing for outstanding recall is part of pre-delivery process.

There’s some issues with ambient lighting for models with a sunroof. I know a few guys in the US have been experiencing issues though not sure if it effects Aus delivered Allspace (which comes out of the same factory).

VW will be recalling 700,000 Gen 2 Tiguans with sunroofs fitted that were built before 2 Aug 2018 as water can leak through to amb lighting and worst case is a fire. Working on a solution at the moment.

Did I speak too soon...the Allspace is making a early charge for the Jeep Grand Cherokee crown of most recalled vehicle...

Volkswagen has recalled the seven-seat Tiguan Allspace again, this time over concerns about the rear shock absorbers.

According to the company, the gas-filled shock absorbers on the rear axle may have an incorrect weld on their lower securing eye, which could come loose and affect the car's handling, posing an accident risk.

A total of 39 cars are affected in the campaign – a VIN list is attached here.
