HELP! BOOT automatically opens when engine stops/put into park

Hi all,

Need help. Today I got my windows tinted in the morning and everything was fine.

But later in the afternoon when I went to pick up my kid from daycare, I would be driving and every time I stopped at lights or during standstill traffic, the boot would just automatically open.

Once I turned off stop start , it stopped but when I got to daycare and put it in park, the boot again automatically opened.

Has anyone experienced anything like this as it's driving my nuts trying to figure out what is causing it.

Flattish battery does strange things in Passats I found

Don't think it's the battery as it's less than 3 months old.

I did notice this morning when troubleshooting that I can hear a beep beep coming from the back.

Like there is some sort of frequency interruption?

If they had it sitting for awhile with ign on it could be but the B7's had trouble with boot locks so worthwhile getting it seen to

I got my friend who is a mechanic to do a diagnostic test and it came up with an error code b140b29 - release button in rear lid handle - implausible signal / state: passive, abiogenesis.
