VW rear badge camera retrofit onto R36 sedan?

Is it possible to retrofit the rear VW badge camera onto the sedan?

Yes,is possible but do not go for bendable camera. All process takes 3 hours to do and cost 300$. Only one condition: your rns should support camera.

Fitting might be $300 but the genuine camera is well over $600

    Hi

That is right. Original camera is expensive. You can go with non original and save money. Otherwise, you can check local car dismantlers or wreckers.

So this actually has a spot/cutout for the camera to fit into? Nice.

I feel like aftermarket cameras (of decent quality) would be the same if not better then a VW camera from 2010 and earlier.

    It is very tricky.

The first step is to look in your handbook to see if any 2010 Passat sedan was factory-fitted with a camera.

Take a photo of that page of your handbook and upload here to get confirmation.

I do not know when VW started making badge cameras.
