Reversing Camera doesn't retract back

Hi all
Have an ongoing issue with reversing camera not going back in on some days (usually in the morning when reversing from garage, however sometimes getting stuck even during the day).
Told it to the dealer but they couldn't find the fault (didn't happen to them when they test it) so not going to fix it.
Has anyone experienced this and how much would it cost to fix it?

I have not seen these yet on my travels but love pulling things apart to see how they work.
If it has screws holding the assembly together then no harm in having a look.... 90% of the time thing go back together the same way.
If you have left over parts then that's proof you engineered it better.

A bit risky to pull an $800 camera to bits and hope you have nothing left over
