    Your ABS is not coded.
    Try setting to 0015815.
Also EPB is not coded. Try 0000057.
Then carrying out the required calibrations per the Ross-tech wiki for G200, G201, G85, EPB etc.

Thanks kamold, will give it a go tomorrow. Do these require Security Pin?

Reason I ask - when I went to coding? or adaptation? (can't recall but I think it was in the ABS) there was a specific setting for different types engines but when I selected 3.2 B6 it nonetheless came back with an error message.

    Thanks kamold,

So, the setting for ABS - 0015815 was accepted and I went on with calibrations as per Ross-Tech Wiki. Check of the parameters against Wiki showed mine were within values given. However, the ABS, Stability Control and the EPC warning lights are still On. The Stability Control switch light (near gear shift) is On and I still can't turn it Off (to get the Stability Control back On)

The EPB code 0000057 wasn't accepted. I kept trying different settings to get EPB fault cleared as I recall reading that sometimes it may not work straight away and might take 2-3 goes. Eventually, I got the right EPB actuator to work by using the "close brake pads" option (after renewal). After that I was able to clear the EPB control module faults and now the EPB works Ok.

    However, I still have:

01 Engine showing malfunction: P1653 please check DTC Memory of ABS Controller and a new one P1479 Brake Boost Vacuum System - mechanical failure.

02 Auto Trans - GSG DSG P1847 please check DTC Memory of ABS Controller

03 ABS brakes - Vacuum Sensor for Brake Booster (G483) and Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor (G251) No or Incorrect Basic Setting/Adaptation though I think I got that (G251) "fixed" after I saved the faults list. I'll have to re-check that one tomorrow.

44 Steering Assist - Steering Limit Stop - 005 No or Incorrect Basic Setting/Adaptation (I'll have to re-check that one tomorrow again as I might have also got it fixed)

All-in-all a progress of sorts but I'm hesitant to use the car "as is" especially with the ABS & Stability Control MIL On.

Do you have a record of your ABS coding? You need to restore the correct coding.
    That's what's causing the P1479 fault.

I persevered PM today and managed to switch ALL the MIL (on the dashboard) off however ... these are the remaining faults as reported by VCDS:

but I run out of time tonight.

As for the ABS coding I used the documented basic settings:

Replacing rear brake pads causes EPB fault-abs-coding-jpg

Replacing rear brake pads causes EPB fault-other-settings-1-jpg
the ticks in Bits 3,4 & 5 appeared when I coded Bit 2 for 3.2Lt AWD engine & transmission.

Replacing rear brake pads causes EPB fault-control-module-jpg

BTW to remove the EPB faults I used the option "Test Parking Brakes" after which the EPB faults cleared.

Do you have a copy of your abs coding from before it was cleared?
That's the easiest way just copy it back.

Can I get the coding from the "old" control module?

No, it's your ABS module coding which was cleared by replacing the EPB module that's the problem. Always always always take AND save a full autoscan before changing anything from a hardware or coding perspective.
If you don't have an old autoscan you might need to do a bit of trial and error to find the correct ABS coding. Luckily it's not an MK60EC1 which has a much more complicated coding scheme.
If you don't have a copy of your original ABS coding try searching online for one from a similarly equipped car.
