No need to be so snarky I included that because previous posters asked what regenerative braking did

You could have at least answered my question but you can do your own research. I know what the service manager told me when I got a new one.

That's the kettle calling the pot black, you don't mind giving it out though.

The missus just had this happen on her B7. Would love to know if you ended up with a solution mate.

Thanks for all the tips guys. Sorry I've been absent for a while, I had a trip to hospital (all good now).

The battery is not yet 2 years old and it was the first thing I suspected but it tested fine.

The auto elec's given up on it. I've booked it into a VW/Audi specialist in a couple of week''s time.

It can go for several days with no problems at all and then just acts up again. It can even sometimes clear most of the faults if I continue driving, and sometimes will remain in "error state" for several starts.

The way it's behaving it seems to me like a broken wire/faulty connection or earth or a sticky switch/sensor. Hopefully the "specialist" can sort it.

For what its worth, the auto elec did say that everything seems to be pointing at either the RHR wheel speed sensor or the ABS controller (ouch!).

SOLVED! It turned out the auto lekky was right. It was the RHR wheel speed sensor.

Not a very expensive repair and great to have the car working properly again - it's been playing up full time the last week or so.

Hats off to the guys at VA Garage Southport.
