    Lightbulb Dtc 1044

I just recently changed a right rear wheel speed sensor on my 2010 upgrade passat tdi 2ltr highline and it’s now saying error code 1044 which with vcd it’s a coding error for control module relating to tyre pressure monitoring system mechanical issue, how do I fix this and how do I re code it.

According to Dr Google it looks like it might have to be coded.

Thanks I’ve done the research, I will run another test for codes after I’ve driven it to get the battery powered again and system reset itself after driving it for a little bit. If not I will take to my independent VW mechanic and get them to have a look at it but I believe I’m on the right track as I’m no mechanic just DIYer to some degree.

Check THIS thread out - some of the coding could well be also relevant to your vehicle.

Thanks mate it’s seems like an interesting read and discover under the hood haha it’s activated but saying it may be a a reduced running and usage so I have to take it to a mechanic soon as I have another unrelated issue that needs fixing as well.

    Thanks
