I have a 2011 Skoda Octavia Scout diesel CFHC engine, and it does take a long time to get to operating temperature, particularly so in winter. Once at temperature it does stay there though. I have never seen it fluctuate once it reaches temperature. Now i don't know which thermostat to get. I guess the only way is to look at both and try to test them. It's due for a cam belt replacement soon so I want to get it sorted.
